Sexual Assault Survivor Support Network

The Survivor Support Network exists in three capacities:

  • Mental Health Services: WAI is constantly developing a network of professionals across linguistic, ethnic, cultural, and religious backgrounds to provide trauma-informed therapeutic services to survivors of sexual assault. More details here.

  • Legal Advising: WAI works with a mix of paid and pro-bono legal teams to pair survivors with the necessary support to pursue legal action against their assailants.

  • Medical Support: WAI maintains a network of 80+ trauma-informed gynecologists nationwide and is working to expand access and services available for survivors regardless of insurance coverage.

As part of the pilot launch, WAI is introducing the Survivor Support Network in three states: DC, Hawai'i, and California impacting 233,000, 296,000, and 10,673,000 survivors respectively.
